String quartets consist of two violins, a viola, and a cello, requiring each member to listen, respond, and create a harmonious sound together. The class introduces students to the basics of playing in a quartet, such as listening, balancing the sound, and musical communication. Classical string quartet repertoire by Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven will be studied, along with arrangements of popular songs and movie soundtracks. The class aims to develop musicianship and teamwork skills, while beginners are accommodated with a step-by-step approach, celebrating progress through practice and dedication.
